La Llorona
Zach Condon’s beloved Beirut will release a new double EP this February. Titled March of the Zapotec/Holland, it will showcase two musical styles. March will feature tunes influenced by Condon’s recent trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. Holland, on the other hand, will be more electronic-like. “La Llorona” comes off of March and Condon is backed by the 19-piece Jimenez Band. The song may be titled after the weeping woman of Hispanic folklore, but I assure you that only the horns in this song will haunt you.
