The Rake’s Song
If you know The Decemberists at all, you’ll understand how gleefully surprised I was to have this song emitting from my speakers this morning. This folk-revival-band’s beautiful serenades and epics have more than defined an era of my own life, and the release of this fantastic and evolutionary single is simply eye-opening. It’s fresh, it’s modern, and somehow, it’s still unmistakably Decemberists. Album out March 24th.
