• Someone once told me to listen to Shugo Tokumaru. “You like Sufjan Stevens, don’t you? You’ll like this way cool Japanese artist!” Now, Shugo Tokumaru is much, much quirkier than Mr. Stevens. His music is pop-ish, but none of that strange J-pop you see fangirled over on the internet. Vocals are soft and sweet. It’s a shame that I don’t know any Japanese; good thing that music is universal.
