Last month, the Deutsch genius behind Hauschka finally released a second album off of indie Fat Cat Records, following up to his brilliantly composed “debut” of 2005, Room To Expand. Ferndorf is an album of true rhythmic and melodic majesty, with a very satisfying mix of strings, horns, and beautiful piano tracks, while still retaining a very electronic undertone and momentum. It’s a truly breathtaking record for all occasions.
