I could bullshit you for hours about why these guys make great music, dropping names like Neko Case and Dan Bejar, but that blogger mentality doesn’t really work in this context. Why? Because, with the New Pornographers, every album is an event. I have yet to be unimpressed with a single release in the group’s repertoire. Unlike the typical music about which bloggers hastily “review,” the music of the New Pornographers is something that I believe should be experienced universally, for its beauty is also universal.
