Los Campesinos! were always a carefree, tweexcore group to me. I didn’t take their debut album seriously. It was fun, fresh, and energetic. The Welsh group plans to release Romance is Boring this coming January stateside. These kiddos definitely have grown towards a more mature sound since 2008’s Hold on Now, Youngster…. The energy and rawness are still there, but long gone are the days filled with sugary pop, it seems like. 2010 is shaping up to be a bitchin’ year in music.
