As a caucasian male of the suburbs, it’s not necessarily my specialty to know “what is the shit” when it comes to modern hip-hop and rap music, but I do my best. When I was little, I was always attracted to the genre (I had a Will Smith record once) but was somewhat but scared by some of the more aggressive artists. Now I’ve gained more confidence in opinion, and feel I have found a comfortable niche for this genre particularly.
