Annie Clark is one of the few musicians that Dallas, Texas can actually claim to have produced in their “music scene”. But damn, that girl represents Dallas well. After working with everyone from The Polyphonic Spree to Sufjan Stevens, she’s finally working on her own music with St. Vincent. Actor is a truly incredible album. Her voice is deceptively sweet and smooth, a perfect juxtaposition to the tension hidden behind her words.
